Sort to Light

Sort to Light or Put to Light is a visual technique that speeds up the sorting process. The lights on the Sort to Light module quickly send the operator to the correct location, where the display shows how many units must be sorted.

Sort to Light is often used in combination with batch picking. Multiple orders are combined by an algorithm with the aim of reducing walking distances during order picking. The result is a bin with many different articles in various numbers / units. Those items must be sorted per customer after order picking. After each item is scanned, the lights will indicate the correct location assigned to a customer in the put wall. The packaging process usually takes place behind the put wall.
