INTHER EWM
Inther EWM is the division of Inther Group specialized in controlling Inther material handling equipment through SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM). SAP EWM is a comprehensive solution that transforms warehouses from cost centers into efficient, integrated, and strategic links within the supply chain through advanced technology and optimized processes.
Inther EWM uses a proven, standardized project approach to implement SAP EWM. Based on a predefined menu structure, preconfigured processes and integrations are implemented efficiently. The modular solution consists of core functionalities required by every warehouse to support its basic processes, as well as advanced components that can be added when needed.
To complete the solution, several add-ons and extensions are included to monitor operations and performance and, where necessary, support migration from SAP WM to SAP EWM.
To enable seamless integration between Inther material handling equipment and SAP EWM, Inther EWM uses SAP Material Flow System (SAP MFS). SAP MFS is a standard component of SAP EWM used to directly control automated warehouse systems without intermediary software such as an external Warehouse Control System.
SAP MFS communicates directly with the PLC of the machine controls. It uses standard telegram communication (TCP/IP) and ensures real-time performance monitoring, error detection, and improved synchronization between warehouse software and hardware.
The integrations between SAP EWM and Inther Group’s logistics solutions have already been successfully implemented multiple times.
