The world of e-commerce is constantly expanding while the availability of personnel is becoming less and less. Therefore, the demand for efficient and fast order picking solutions is higher than ever. To meet the needs of our rapidly growing customers, we developed a unique solution that has placed the name of Inther in the lines of the greatest regional intralogistics innovators.
At LogiMAT 2023, Inther Group made waves with the original GRIPP (Gantry Robotic Intelligent Piece Picker) and garnered the interest of numerous intralogistics enthusiasts and industry experts. Now, a full year later, our piece-picker was recognized once again, securing a third place in the E-Commerce Germany Awards 2024!
With its ability to process up to 1,200 pieces per hour, the GRIPP is designed to increase order picking throughput without needing extra hands to do so, effectively decreasing personnel costs. This automation solution is also optimized to take care of fragile products (avoid damages) through its unique gentle way of picking and positioning which keeps getting smarter through learning and development.
After receiving the award, Stefan Weisshap, CEO Inther Group Germany, shared: "In this project, we were able to optimize our customer's order picking in the field of e-commerce. The customer already had several manual goods-to-person workstations. However, due to the strong growth, these were no longer sufficient. Since his company was also severely affected by staff shortages, he decided to increase performance by means of the GRIPP."
