Recently, Inther Group started a new expansion project at Pluripharm Group, a pharmaceutical wholesaler with a complete service package to support public, outpatient hospital pharmacies. For this expansion, a completely new hall was built onto the existing warehouse. Pluripharm has been working with Inther systems for about 15 years and this new expansion will facilitate the future growth of the pharmaceutical wholesaler.

Extensive design study in advance
Rick van Well, as Sales Engineer closely involved in the project with Pluripharm, explains: “Together with Pluripharm, we conducted an extensive design study in advance to find the best concept. This revealed that the existing A-Frames and Pick-by-Light workstations will remain. However, the old Kardex cabinets, which house the slow-moving items, will be replaced by a modern shuttle system with over 11,500 locations and ten reception workstations. Five Inther Goods-to-Person stations will be installed on a mezzanine to pick the items. With a new conveyor system with a total length of one kilometer, we are increasing Pluripharm's system capacity, partly because order bins can take shortcuts when they are ready in one of the three picking areas.

With this expansion project, we are further strengthening our cooperation in the future. The expansion will be fully completed in the first half of 2026, and we are already looking forward to more opportunities to further support Pluripharm in their intralogistics,” adds Martijn Herder (CEO of Inther Group).
